Woodburned projects will fade over time, more so when exposed to direct light. You need to protect your project without sacrificing the overall appearance of the burning.
Deft semi-gloss or Krylon satin sprayed on work well. Brush-on varnishes, on the other hand, tend to be too think and generally add a yellowish tone to the wood.
